Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds side-project Grinderman have announced their second album. The album will be the follow-up to their self-titled debut (released in 2007) and is simply called Grinderman 2, and it will be released on September 13 on Mute, and September 14 on Anti in North America. The album is co-produced by Grinderman and Nick Launay (who also mixed the album), the producer of the group’s debut as well as the three latest Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds studio albums, and it was recorded in London 2009. Grinderman consists of Nick Cave, Warren Ellis, Martyn P. Casey and Jim Sclavunos, all members of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. The band have also announced a twenty-date European tour during September and October in support of the album (tour dates below).
