After a series of 7″ releases, Atlanta fuzz-pop group Gold-Bears (not to be confused with the delicious candy) are finally releasing their debut LP for Slumberland Records. The eleven-song effort, titled Are You Falling In Love?, will see the light of day on May 17th, but you don’t have to wait that long to check out some cuts from this attention-grabbing release.
Gold-Bears have offered an MP3 of opener “Record Store,” that sees the band rocking in the vein of early-nineties indie-pop. Think Yuck but less British. Then, on “So Natural,” the group goes even fuzzier, drawing more from 80’s post-punk but winding up with a track equally as catchy as the less-distorted “Record Store.” Both songs point to Gold-Bears being a band to watch and we have both the MP3 and video below, as well as the tracklisting.
