43 year-old Keith Elam, a.k.a. MC Guru of the influential East Coast hip-hop duo Gang Starr, is currently in a coma after suffering a heart attack yesterday. Elam will undergo surgery today (March 1).
Gang Starr has stayed off the radar since releasing their last album in 2002, but Elam released a solo album just last year, and there had been talk of a Gang Starr album in the works. Let’s hope that Guru can make it through this difficult time.
