The 5th edition of the Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival takes place from the 9th-11th November – that’s this weekend – and after much anticipation the final list of venues and set times have been released, alongside a few surprise last-minute additions. Amongst them are Fatima Al Qadiri, Deadboy, Falty DL, Vito & Druzzi of The Rapture and New York’s very own Metro Area, the longstanding and well-loved project of disco maestro Morgan Geist, who has been on a hot streak under the Storm Queen alias for a couple of years. Nadastrom, arguably the MVP of moombahton, will head up the inaugural All Ages stage on Friday.
They join an already diverse roster of DJs and artists including Photek, Nicolas Jaar, XXYYXX, Brenmar, Baths, Shlohmo, Gold Panda, Dre Skull and at least two dozen more plus showcases from three of the finest collectives operating in today’s underground electronic scene: Fade To Mind, Deviation and Numbers, who collectively boast Kingdom, Pearson Sound, MikeQ, Jackmaster, Benji B and Omar S between them. Best of luck deciding who to catch amongst all that, eh?
More information can be found on their website, and tickets can be purchased here. Probably a sage idea to move quickly.
