This week NPR has premiered two albums that two probably quite different sets of fans will have been eagerly anticipating. Perhaps the bigger of the two is Dirty Three’s first new album in seven years, Towards The Low Sun. The Legendary instrumental band have returned after having split for a while to concentrate on other projects, and they seem to have been rejuvenated by the time apart. Fanfarlo’s Rooms Filled With Light is the London band’s second album and faces the unenviable task of trying to match their beloved debut Reservoir.
