Next week is a big week of releases, maybe not quite as big as last week, but still big. On the other hand, all of last week’s notable releases were indie rock, next week is a more diverse affair, as evidenced by the three album streams we have for you here.
Firstly we have The Hunter, the new album by Atlanta heavy metal rockers Mastodon. The stream is in one complete track, so you’re almost forced to listen to the album how it was supposed to be heard: in order and in one sitting. It’s also on YouTube and comes with an awesome visualizer to watch along.
The second stream is from German electronic duo Modeselektor, back with their third album Monkeytown. As with their last release Happy Birthday! they’ve roped in Thom Yorke for a couple of tracks, as well as several other brilliant guests.
The third stream is almost as indie as it gets, but it’s a great one. Dum Dum Girls return with their second album Only In Dreams and it’s a blinder.
