So, in case you were in a coma last week, South By Southwest happened. I was there (and am frantically trying to bring you coverage), and had the opportunity to check out a few band that I had limited experience with. Among these was Generationals, a D.C. based garage-pop band that impressed with both its songwriting craft and pure love for performing. It turns out, they have an album, Actor-Caster, so near release that you can practically taste it. Or, hear it, so as not to mix metaphors.
In fact, you can hear it right now. Like, literally RIGHT NOW. Just go to KCRWs website and stream it over and over again. If you want to experience the live show, well, you will have an opportunity for that, too. Unfortunately, this will not be as instantly gratifying as the album stream, but, buy a ticket and give yourself something to look forward to.
