Fucked Up, Toronto’s favorite hardcore band, announced the release of their new album David Comes To Life on their blog, Looking For Gold, Monday. They also made it available for free download for their fans. Or did they?
The last time the band released an album, they posted a perplexing picture of an eclipse that confused the shit out of their fans.
A lot of you probably didn’t understand what was going on in the picture, especially because I posted the lyrics from the title track that contains shit like “The Vale the midwife birth the key,” which I myself don’t even really understand.
Along with the picture, they posted a “DOWNLOAD OUR NEW ALBUM” link that was actually a leak from the Cut Copy album, In Ghost Colors.
Because of this previous incident, many of us were still sour, and very, very afraid to touch the download button on the bottom of the website for this new effort. But many still clicked on the link that anyway… and got slapped in the face like a redheaded stepchild by yet another leak of Cut Copy’s newest album, Zonoscope.
Thanks guys! Now if you’ll excuse us, we’re going to go wash our ears out in a pool of our own tears.
