Flying Lotus recently went on record as saying he felt like a black sheep in the hip hop community, wondering why Kanye West hasn’t called him for beats. Well, it appears that FlyLo cannot continue to complain (regardless of if it was tongue in cheek), as Pitchfork reports that the Los Angeles’ DJ/producer/director/possible genius will team up with the soulful and funky Erykah Badu on new material.
This, of course, comes after previously working with Badu as the director on her clip for “Gone Baby, Don’t Be Long.” For now, no details exist on the upcoming collaboration. Except the news that we are excited. You should be, too. More details as they become available.
