Here it is, one we’ve been waiting for for quite a while. Since their amazing breakthrough debut album and EP combination releases of 2008 Fleet Foxes have been one of the most talked about new bands. Following over a year of touring the material from those two releases the Foxes headed into their den and have been working feverishly on the full-length follow up.
Since announcing last night via their twitter that this morning would yield an exciting announcement speculation has been rife as to whether the wait for the big announcement was coming to an end, and we can now confirm that it is.
Fleet Foxes’ second album will be called Helplessness Blues, that’s the cover above, it’s coming out May 3rd on Sub Pop and you can hear the title track below.
