Hollywood Forever Cemetery has played host to a slew of wonderful events, from sunrise with Bon Iver to an October set with Belle and Sebastien. For Explosions In The Sky’s upcoming performance, it seems they are thinking even bigger.
Explosions In The Sky will need two days to get the fullness of their vision across. As previously announced, the band will play outdoors on the cemetery grounds for what is sure to be a lovely and inspiring night of music. A week earlier, on April 23rd, something quite different will take place
For one night only, the cemetery will turn into an art show and listening party. Six art installations from six different artists will, each created in response to one of the songs on the upcoming Explosions In The Sky album, Take Care, Take Care, Take Care. The album will be premiered at this event, with each song playing on loudspeakers at its corresponding art piece.
Tickets to Taking Care: 6 Visual Interpretations (the art show aspect) are free with RSVP here. Below we have the artists who will be showing in the event. Take Care, Take Care, Take Care is out on April 26th.
