It doesn’t seem that long ago when the Dum Dum Girls released their stellar sophomore album, Only in Dreams, which made our year-end list. It’s a bit of a (pleasant) surprise that they would be coming out with new material in the form of an EP so soon. Entitled End of Daze, the five-track EP was originally supposed to be a collection of b-sides, but “their nature was of another beast entirely, and Dee Dee set them aside for a future, more atmospheric release.” Three of the tracks, “Mine Tonight,” “I Got Nothing,” and a cover of Strawberry Switchblade’s “Trees and Flowers” were recorded with The Raveonettes’ Sune Rose Wagner. End of Daze will be released on September 25th via Sub Pop.
The Dum Dum Girls will also embark on a short tour that includes a couple of festival appearances. Check below for a full list of dates.
