Lively noise-pop collective Deerhoof have announced the release of their new album, Deerhoof vs. Evil. This comes as no surprise seeing as Deerhoof are one of the most profilic bands currently working, having released an album almost every year since their formation in 1999. In fact the gap between their last album Offend Maggie and this one is the longest ever; the first time they’ve gone for two full calendar years without releasing an album!

Deerhoof vs. Evil is being released on January 24th in the UK through ATP Recordings, in the USA the band have switched labels to Polyvinyl who will release it the day after and if you’re lucky enough to live in Japan, P-Vine will be releasing it earlier over there on January 6th.
If you live in the States you can head over to the Polyvinyl site now to pre-order it in several formats. For vinyl collectors the album will be pressed on pink vinyl, limited to 2000 copies, which should be worth a purchase.
