We recently reported on a strong rumor that Coldplay’s fifth studio album appeared slated for release on October 24. Today, we can confirm this date. In the United States, the new album — which we can also confirm has been titled Mylo Xyloto — will be available a day later.
As you can see above, the album will feature two different styles of cover art. The booklets for each physical copy will be reversed, so while the artwork is technically the same, you can expect to see two different shells on store shelves. The band also announced, in addition to sharing aesthetic details, that Brian Eno contributed composition to the album.
