We absolutely loved Cloud Nothings debut self-titled album in 2010, a sometimes abrasive but always enjoyable garage pop record. So of course we’re stoked on the news that Dylan Baldi and company are finished with their sophomore album. Attack on Memory is due January 24th, 2012 on Carpark records, and is said to focus more on “a band effort, both in songwriting and recording,” according to Exclaim! Even more promising is the fact that the album was produced by Steve Albini, who has worked with the likes of Nirvana, PJ Harvey, and Jarvis Cocker.
