Burial announces first solo material for four years

Next week, elusive UK cult dubstep musician Burial will release a new single entitled “Street Halo.” The single is the first solo material he will have released since his critically lauded and fan adored Untrue album which was released in 2007.

Since that album’s release he has worked as a producer and released some collaborations with Four Tet including last week’s “Ego”/”Mirror” 12″ which also featured Thom Yorke.

“Street Halo” is being released on 12″ by Hyperdub with two other new tracks, “NYC” and “Stolen Dog.” You can purchase the limited single now from all good UK record stores.

No word as yet whether “Street Halo” is the first glimpse of an upcoming album, but considering the length of time since his last we certainly hope so.
