Listening to Tom Greenberg talk about his musical project, BOBBY, it is understandable as to why it is hard to classify. Rotating members, no clear expectations, a fluid and breezy sound; these aren’t the usual qualities of a band shooting to the top of the charts. But, well, BOBBY isn’t a typical band. One listen to their self-titled debut (which you can do here) points to something special happening when this collective records, something they look to replicate as they hit the road.
BOBBY will tour as support for Thao and Mirah, while also playing a few shows with Mountain Man in July — the band which shares recording member Molly Sarle and touring member Amelia Randall Meathe.
