Words to suggest that the Beach Boys are considering reuniting for their 50th anniversary were recently uttered by their leader Brian Wilson, and have therefore got music fans the world over excited. His exact words were “I’m considering it… I don’t know yet but I’m considering it. Nothing’s really holding me back. I just don’t know if I want to be around those guys who know. They’re zany guys. They’re crazy.”
Wilson hasn’t played with the Beach Boys for two decades. There are five remaining members Mike Love, Al Jardine, Bruce Johnston and David Marks, as well as Wilson himself. If the Golden Anniversary Tour comes into existence, we’ll be sure to let you know. But for now don’t get your hopes up, we all know what the inter-band is like from the squablles of the past.
