It seems like longer, but Art Brut’s last album came out in 2009. Maybe it is because prior to the release of Art Brut Vs. Satan, the group was perpetually in the spotlight. They seemed to always tour and be releasing music since their 2005 debut, but perception is weird and really they are maintaining the same schedule they always have.
Whether you missed them or not, Art Brut will offer the fourth album, Brilliant! Tragic!, on May 23rd on Cooking Vinyl. The album was produced by rock god/Pixies frontman Black Francis, who actually helped Art Brut’s Eddie Argos on his vocals: “We had more time in the studio this time too (about a week more), so Black Francis had time to teach me how to sing… I’m very proud that I sing on it. Only took four albums to start singing, not bad.”
