Less than 24 hours after the interwebs exploded with the tracklisting for Animal Collective’s 9th LP, Merriweather Post Pavilion, a release date has been confirmed. Fans of the experimental band will find the Collective’s new LP in record stores on January 20th. It will be receiving the standard CD, double vinyl, and digital release formats.
No word on whether we can expect animal-themed flash drives…yet. But, along with that announcement came news that the fan favorite “Brother Sport” will now be known simply as “Brothersport”.
