Multi-national trio All We Are have announced the details of their third album Providence, which is set for release on August 14 through Double Six Records. The news comes on the tail of recent tracks “Bad Advice” and “L is for Lose”, and brings with it another new song called “Not Your Man”. About the new track, they say:
“‘If ‘Not Your Man’ wasn’t a song, it’d be your holiday romance: sticky, sexy, hot and you’re not going to waste it.”
In a year when summer is not going to be packed with our usual excursions to scenic idylls where the sun shines and the alcohol doesn’t stop flowing, a song like “Not Your Man” might be as close as we get – and it does a pretty bang-up job. Possessing an irrepressible rhythm hooked together with an expressive bassline (“the best I’ve ever written,” Guro proclaims), the scene is set for a carefree frolic. All We Are double down on this vibe with horn injections and gang vocals that have an overtly sexual approach and a seductive allure, wrapping around your brain until it comes to the killer hook: “Like a piña colada, you’re not going to waste me.”
As if the regular version wasn’t enough, there’s also a “Piña Colada Mix” of “Not Your Man”, which you can check out on DSPs. Watch the video for “Not Your Man” below.
