Beloved New Zealand songwriter Aldous Harding has announced her third album: it’s called Warm Chris and comes out on March 25 through 4AD. As with her previous albums, she once again worked with John Parish on the record.
She has also shared a new single and video called “Lawn”, which sits at the centre of the new album. A bubbling amalgamation of drums, guitar and her sprightly piano perfectly underscore the odd and charming character study she presents. As ever with Harding, heavy themes are interwoven among lighthearted, lulling vocal lines, leaving you unaware – until you dig deeper.
