AA Bondy, the former leader of Verbana, is set to return on September 13th with his new album Believers. The album is Bondy’s third as a solo artist, and his first since 2009’s When The Devil’s Loose. It will see release through Fat Possum.
The Fat Possum press release tells us that Bondy recorded the album this past Spring with the aid of Ben Lester (drums, piano, pedal steel) and Macey Taylor (bass), and produced by long-time Elliott Smith producer Rob Schnapf.
The ten songs that make up Believers were apparently “conjured during and between dreams, in bare rooms, and on the late night streets of America,” which puts a nice spin on the cover art, seen above. Check out the tracklist below.
