Swedish singer and pipe organist Anna von Hausswolff is gearing up for the US release of her debut record Ceremony on July 9th via Other Music. The songs on the album were recorded in a 100 year old church in Gothenburg and the open-air recording space lends them a majestic and solemn feel. This is immediately apparent on recent single “Mountains Crave,” where von Hausswolff’s ephemeral vocals twist against and become enveloped by cascading layers of imposing organ notes and ragged guitar lines. She has just released a live performance video for the song, which was directed by Mikel Cee Karlsson. Watch the video below.
