It’s been 10 long years since we heard the debut LP from fractured, lo-fi indie rockers The Baptist Generals. But on May 21st, it seems that our patience will be rewarded. As with their debut No Silver/No Gold, Sub Pop will be handling the release of their sophomore record Jackleg Devotional to the Heart. We’ve already heard the first single “Dog The Bit You,” and now we can hear another song from the album. “Broken Glass” feels the spiritual successor to songs like “Alcohol” and “Ay Distress” and preserves the band’s signature broken acoustic aesthetic while managing to up the fidelity without losing that gut punch intensity.
