Earlier this month we premièred the first taste from Wickerbird’s new EP, The Westering and now we’ve got another song to listen to. “Boreal” (Not a Hundred Waters cover, as far as I can tell) is a primarily instrumental piece, full of plucked strings that evoke streaks of sunshine hitting your field of vision, before Blake Cowan’s voice rises from the warm and misty instrumental dew. Again, Giles Corey comes to mind, albeit a Giles Corey with a more optimistic disposition, but he’s lurking in the reverb. It’s an enamouring little track. Listen below.
