White Fence‘s Tim Presley posted on Facebook the other day that he never set out to start a record label. But when he heard Jessica Pratt’s voice he heard something “[he] couldn’t let go of.” “Night Faces” is our first taste from Pratt’s self-titled debut, a tingling piece of transportive ’60s-influenced folk. Much like Presley’s own recordings, “Night Faces” sounds like the sort of track that could’ve been unearthed on some old, scratched up 7″ found in someone’s basement during an estate sale.
