Deep Sea Arcade are a new Australian band that fuse all the best elements of sunny indie pop and spice it up with a few more dream-poppy elements. The ultimate resulting sound is not dissimilar to that of their fellow countrymen Tame Impala, but with more emphasis on the pop. They have an upcoming album called Outlands, and the first single from it is entitled “Girls.” The track title may smack of obviousness to you, but “Girls” features more evocative and interesting lyrics than you’d think, and the chorus is so goddamn good that it doesn’t even really matter what they’re saying anyway.
