Some bands seem to produce music oblivious and untainted by world outside, and Fredrik is one of those bands that fit the bill. Their latest album, Flora, released last year, continues the organic evolution of their unique experimental folk from their previous two LPs. The elusive Swedish trio made a rare US appearance last month in the Golden Sate. The five-date California tour consisted of two dates in Los Angeles and three in the Bay Area. The final performance took place at the now defunct iconic Red Vic Movie House on Haight St in San Francisco. After treating the audience with their ethereally haunting songs, we went up to the projector room for an informal, brief interview. After browsing through relics of the future, singer/guitarist Fredrik Hultin, multi-instrumentalist Ola Lindefelt , and keyboardist Anna Moberg tackled a few questions about the tour and other random topics.
