The trend of taking music festivals on the high seas is pretty awesome, and Bruise Cruise and Hard Cuise are about to have some company: Weezer.
Yes, Weezer are forming their own cruising festival, providing an escape from cold winters in January with a trip from Miami to Cozumel. Weezer will perform both outdoor and indoor sets for the trip, as well as offering a Q&A session and pictures with the guests.
The lineup for the trip will also include Dinosaur Jr., as will a number of different Dinosaur Jr.-related projects: Sebadoh, J Mascis solo and acoustic, and Lou Barlow solo plus Wavves, the Antlers, Yuck, Free Energy, Keepaway, Boom Bip, Gene Ween and Dave Dreiwitz, and Yacht Rock Revue. The ship will sail from January 19th-23rd and with each $800 ticket, you are treated to gourmet dining, free 24-hour room service, pools, hot tubs, a full-service casino, and, you know, music.
