CSS’s last album, 2008’s Donkey, received fairly middling reviews. The band, who ostensibly are just making music for the fun of it, have retreated for quite a while since then, seemingly to put a lot of effort into their third album La Liberación, which will be released on August 29th. Our first taste of the album comes in the form of “Hits Me Like A Rock,” which definitely promises a return to form for the Brazilians. And, as a mark of the quality, they’ve even roped on Primal Scream’s Bobby Gillespie to add guest vocals!
