If you are not familiar with Prince Rama, it is understandable, though probably due for a change. Whatever I say to describe the group cannot top the press release, which claims they “continue their exploration of the link between music and utopia, conducting group exorcisms to the score of old VHS workout music and re-staging apocalypses through chopped and screwed pop songs.” Yeah!
On Trust Now, their fifth album and second on Paw Tracks, the sisters Taraka and Nimai Larson have worked with Scott Colburn (Sun City Girls, Animal Collective, Arcade Fire) and recorded the record in a 19th century church. Our first taste of the six-song album is yet to come, but we do have the tracklisting (below) and the album cover (above) for you. Also, a couple of tour dates are included. Look out for Prince Rama’s Trust Now on October 4th.
