July 12th sees the re-release of MellowHype’s Blackenedwhite album on Fat Possum, and the new version comes with a new song entitled “64.” The song has been a live favourite for a while and now Hodgy Beats and LeftBrain have decided to create a video for it, in the lead up to the release. It’s easy to see why this song is so popular, it’s one of the best songs the duo has created, fully realising the dark and aggressive sound that Odd Future are known for. The horror themed video matches the song perfectly, showing a dead Hodgy Beats in a coffin at his funeral being presided over by LeftBrain as the priest, all intercut with clips of the duo and their energetic live act.
