Full disclosure: I’m a big Winnie The Pooh guy. That was my jam when I was a wee one, so the news that Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward have a bunch of music in the new Disney film just means I have a more credible excuse for dragging my nieces and nephew to this. Maybe Deschanel is also planning outings like this for the future, as the news broke yesterday that she will be an aunt.
According to TwentyFourBit, the duo offered “So Long” for the closing credits of the film and Deschanel also goes solo on the movie’s theme song, “A Very Important Thing to Do,” as well as guest vocals on “Everything is Honey” and “Pooh’s Finale.” She doesn’t need to explain herself, but on the video below, she does. Disney’s Winnie The Pooh is out on July 15th.
