The Streets’ Computers and Blues out in February, tour announced

After a year off the grid, Mike Skinner AKA British rapper The Streets, has returned to the internet and is making it known that the fifth and final Streets album, Computers and Blues, is finally on its way.

Skinner made his return by explaining that he had turned off his phone for a year and then subsequently updating The Streets blog with all sorts of odd videos, including videos for new songs, teasers, poetry, and video responses to those replying to him on Twitter (including this one in which he hilariously showcases his FIFA 11 skills. “Shit on the Villa.”).

More recently Skinner revealed both the release date for the album (February 7th), as well as the full details of the tour. Check out the full dates in the poster below (click to enlarge).

The tracks below, “4 O’Clock,” “Trust Me,” and “Backseat Barz” should be destined for the album. Below those we’ve included the teaser videos which include beats that may make it to the album.

Computers and Blues is due out February 7th and from the sounds of it, it should be full of themes of capitalism, and finding some middle ground between neo-luddism and technophilia. Go ahead and Tweet this post, or don’t.
