– Carl Barat says he expects to be starring in ‘two London plays’ this January. He gave no further details about the projects, but revealed his debut solo album would see release in 2010, and said he ‘wasn’t ruling out’ reforming The Libertines with ex-best friend Peter Doherty in the next twelve months. “If we do The Libertines, let’s give them everything and be The Libertines again. Let’s live that life again. It’s a life and it’s for a reason, for a good purpose,” he said during the intwerview with Reuters.

– Iconic duo Chas Hodges & Dave Peacock have announced they are to split. Peacock is retiring from the music business, while Hodges will continue to tour under the name Chas And His Band. The group famously regained popularity early this decade, after the aforementioned Libertines claimed them as an influence, and adopted their music-hall lyrics into tracks such as What Katie Did.

– The Horrors have announced that Whole New Way will be the newest single from sophomore album Primary Coulors. The track will be released on November 2nd, avaiable in 7 Inch vinyl and download.

– Amy Winehouse has confirmed the first release on her new label Lioness Records will be the debut album from her goddaughter Dionne Bromfield. Introducing Dionne Bromfield will hit stores on October 12th.
