Soundgarden to release live album, Live On I5, in March

Since announcing their reformation at the start of 2010, Soundgarden have been on a fairly productive streak. There have been small live shows, a headlining slot at Lollapalooza and a career-spanning best-of set, Telephantasm, which includes the previously unreleased ‘Black Rain’.

Now, the band has announced the release of their first ever live album, Live on I5, which is set to hit the shops on March 21, 2011. The album was recorded during the bands tour of the US and Canada in 1996, and includes both original band compositions and cover tunes.
