There’s not often this much buzz about a movie soundtrack, but not all movie soundtracks are made by Trent Reznor, and rarely are they follow-ups to Oscar Award winning soundtracks. Buzz has grown as we’ve started to see more trailers for The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo which features Reznor and Atticus Ross’ once again perfectly-suited score, and things got really exciting when Reznor revealed that the soundtrack is over two hours long and cover six LPs.
Now the best news of all is that it’s out next week! December 9th will see the soundtrack released digitally on iTunes (pre-order here and receive a download of Reznor and Karen O’s cover of “Immigrant Song” immediately – or just stream it below) or go to this webstore to see the variety of other packages on offer.
Reznor, posting on the Nine Inch Nails website, says:
“For the last fourteen months Atticus and I have been hard at work on David Fincher’s “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo”. We laughed, we cried, we lost our minds and in the process made some of the most beautiful and disturbing music of our careers. The result is a sprawling three-hour opus…”
