Well, after 21 years of construction on the band’s part and waiting on ours, it seems the time has finally come for a new My Bloody Valentine record. In a conversation with NME, Kevin Shields has said that an album that some think is “stranger than Loveless” will be on his website by the end of the year and a EP of new material would follow soon after. Kevin Shields has always been one for talk, but with the end of the year approaching quickly, we’ll soon see if he can back this one up.
The band is due to play the Tokyo Rocks festival in may, so other shows seem wholly within the realm of possibility.
Say it with me (though with reservation), “My Bloody Valentine is back.”
