When Coachella unleashed its lineup two weeks back, two of the major omissions were Portishead (unlikely) and Jeff Mangum (no way in hell). Little did we know, that both acts had a different festival scheduled, or imagine that it would be in New fucking Jersey.
Yes, the always classy and forward-thinking ATP will bring Portishead (who will curate the Saturday and Sunday and headline their first East Coast show in 16 years) to the shore for a surely Snookie-free three day fest that will offer the first major performance from Neutral Milk Hotel frontman/deity Jeff Mangum. Chavez, Cults, Shellac, and more will also play, but really, JEFF MANGUM OMG!!! All the info is below.
3-Day Passes, Day Passes, and Jeff Mangum (Monday) tickets go on sale this Friday at 9AM EST on the ATP website. Those who buy 3-day passes will get to see a second, smaller Jeff Magnum show at the Paramount theatre on Friday.
