As a music fan I don’t really need much more encouragement to get excited about Lykke Li’s upcoming album Wounded Rhymes having heard the two brilliant singles “Get Some” and “I Follow Rivers.”
Then again as a male I don’t need to be asked twice to watch a video of the Swede lounging on the beach.
This strange new video comes with no information attached, which is typically mysterious in a delightfully Scandinavian way we’ve come to expect in recent years. The video is sort of a Calvin Klein-ad meets Survivor (which was actually derived from a Swedish television show if you didn’t know). It doesn’t mention the name of the artist or album anywhere in the video so I’m not entirely sure of its purpose. If I had to guess I would say it might be a preview of an upcoming video.

Wounded Rhymes will be released on February 28th by Lykke’s label LL in cooperation with Atlantic.
