As a response to EMA’s “California,” allow me to say that California has some awesome things about it. Weed is practically legal here. Delicious Mexican food. Where else can you access forests, mountains, deserts, cities, and oceans so easily? But, it does fuck some people up. That is for sure. EMA’s kinda spoken-word poetry/kinda grand swan song captures some of the issues people can have about this state, or maybe anywhere they call home. It’s powerful any way you slice it and the video absolutely does the song justice.
