Kisses have a new album called Kids In LA out in a couple of months time (May 14th, via Cascine Records) and they’ve released another cut from it in the form of the track “Huddle.” Evoking the sadder vocal melodies from their debut album The Heart of the Nightlife, the track is a minor key exercise in what they do best, which makes the sun-bleached cover art (above) seem a little misplaced. “Meet me in the middle,” Jesse Kivel sings, and it sounds like we might have to – somewhere between the expectations of another uplifting twee-pop album and the dreary-cloudedness of “Huddle.” Listen below.
