With the amount of touring that George Lewis Jr. (better known as Twin Shadow) did in 2011, it is a little surprising that a new Twin Shadow album is already being talked about, the follow-up to 2010’s Forget. But, in an interview with Stereogum, the cat came out of the bag, with Lewis admitting that the new album should be released in one of the “J months.” Some quick deduction points toward June or July, or possibly January 2013.

About the record, Lewis says that it is “90%” complete and was written and recorded in Los Angeles. Lewis gave some interesting information about the sound of the record, saying “I know that to me it is the next step, it’s still very much about synthesizers and less of an emphasis on drum machines and more on sampled acoustic drums. So the rhythm section will maybe be the biggest difference, but I’m not really sure. I think it’s just the next step from Forget.”
