Thundercat announces new Flying Lotus produced album; hear a track

Bassist extraordinaire Stephen Bruner is set to release his second album as Thundercat this summer. The new album is called Apocalypse (continuing the theme from his debut album The Golden Age of Apocalypse) and will be released on Brainfeeder on July 9th.

Brainfeeder label head Flying Lotus returns once again as executive producer along with Mono/Poly. The trio are said to have created “An album about loss and rebuilding, trying to gain something back, and capturing that moment of clarity where one finally finds feet back on the ground again.” You can get a taste of what they have cooked up with the new track “Heartbreaks + Setbacks” below.
