Mountain Man will release two albums July 20th; add tour dates

By ; July 3, 2010 at 10:43 PM

The talented and beautiful Molly Erin Sarle, Alexandra Sauser-Monnig, and Amelia Randall Meath are set to release their first two proper albums this month. The Vermont trio, better known as Mountain Man, self-released a run of cd-rs last year along with a digital offering of the album, but thanks to Partisan Records and Underwater Peoples the group is finally getting a proper offering.

Partisan will be releasing Mountain Man’s debut LP entitled Made the Harbor on July 20th (out already in the UK). They are offering a limited edition run of the vinyl as well, pressed on 180-gram vinyl with gorgeous “coke bottle green” coloring, which they have a preview of as well. This special run is 300 only so pre-order quickly if you are interested.

And on the same day, July 20th, Underwater Peoples will be releasing a complimentary EP on 10″ vinyl. Not complimentary in the sense that it’s free, but rather that the EP is a great piece to go with Made the Harbor. Entitled Sun Dog, the EP will feature tracks from the LP, but Underwater Peoples call them “a collection of alternative recordings”. Sun Dog is also available for pre-order.

I also recommend checking out the interview the group with Paste this week for some interesting history of how Mountain Man was formed. Hit the jump for their upcoming East Coast and Midwest tour, along with some European dates.
