Mazzy Star 3 2013

It’s been over a year and a half since Mazzy Star released their comeback single “Common Burn” with the promise of more new material to follow; many of us had given up hope – or simply forgotten – that there was a new album to come. But today the California duo have revealed that on September 24th they will release a new album entitled Seasons Of Your Day, their first since 1996’s Among My Swan. This one will be released on their own label Rhymes Of An Hour Records.

Seasons Of Your Day will feature “Common Burn” and its b-side “Lay Myself Down,” along with 8 new tracks that were recorded in California and Norway. Special guests on the album include My Bloody Valentine’s Colm O’Ciosoig and an extra special feature from the late great Bert Jansch on the song “Spoon.”
