As you may have known, Battles have been releasing a series of 12″ remix singles titled Dross Glop, with two already in the bag and two more planned. People not inclined to vinyl collecting will be happy to note that a Dross Glop remix album is now planned, with an April 17th release planned via Warp.
Featured on the remix album will be Shabazz Palaces, Pat Mahoney, The Field, Gang Gang Dance, and many more. Every song from Battles 2011 album Gloss Drop will be remixed by handpicked artists from Battles themselves, and an exclusive EYE remix on “Sundome” will be available on the CD/MP3 release only. Below you can check out a new Kode9 remix of “Africastle.”
