Watch: Radiohead perform new track “Staircase” live From The Basement

We already knew that next week Radiohead will be performing songs from their newest album, The King of Limbs, live for the first time when they air a special version of From The Basement on BBC. What we didn’t know is that they will also be performing at least one previously unheard song called “Staircase.” Well Radiohead have gone and ruined the surprise for us by posting the clip on Dead Air Space (we don’t really mind).

“Staircase” would fit nicely on to The King Of Limbs, but also seems a lot more atmospheric. And they’ve got two drummers, what’s that about!? Actually, the second drummer is called Clive Deamer, and is apparently one of Phil Selway’s favourite drummers, so he was “really excited” when Clive agreed to play with them. Check it out below.

The full episode of From The Basement airs on July 1st. Who knows, there may be more surprises in store.
