Daniel Rossen recently played a solo acoustic gig at Family Band’s Upstate Forest Party. He apparently debuted some new songs, which Youtube has made unembedable, but we have links for below. Now, as You Ain’t No Picasso points out, the safe bet is that these are new Grizzly Bear songs, but really we have no way of knowing. Rossen is somewhat prolific and with Department Of Eagles and Grizzly Bear, who knows if these are old, new, upcoming, or whatever. Feel free to comment below if you know any more information on these, and enjoy. They sound pretty good.
Plugging away since 1999, The National finally hit mainstream success with the release of their 2010 album High Violet. Of course, this entailed their first world tour, but in the new documentary Mistaken For Strangers, it’s only the backdrop for the relationship between lead singer Matt Berninger and his younger brother Tom, who had no idea that these short videos he was shooting would turn into a public document of their troubled, if still loving brotherhood.
